It would depend on who the philosopher is, wouldn't it and what they believe is the truth or their truth?

We could start with Hume. Presently it appears our culture has taken his philosophy as the gospel truth!

The 1% ter’s have a lifestyle that living within the corrupted ethics of the one of the oldest doctrine of avoidance of pain and living life of enjoyment!

For every time era lived. Humans seem to live by a code until it becomes too extreme within its demands and then humans swing back in the opposite style. Maybe natures way of correcting specis.

I waiting or sensing the Birth of another Oliver Cromwell with his philosophy of “ being the instrument of God “ ! Trump may believe he is a Puritan ( after his escape of being assinnated ) he certainly has his followers but Trump may be certain but he isn't righteous
